1. Name the system.
State whether your range uses EU, UK, US or another labelling system. Include the intended size labels and customer group. Ask for any cross-system mapping to be confirmed against the selected style’s chart.
2. Request the style-specific chart.
Discuss the measurements and measurement method relevant to the proposed construction. Review trainers, sandals, boots and indoor styles separately. Keep the chart version and sample reference with the product specification.
3. Write the quantity breakdown.
Record pairs by style, colour and size. Check that the size subtotals match the quantity in the enquiry. If you prefer an assortment pack, describe the requested ratio rather than assuming a standard pack.
| Include in the brief | What to record |
|---|---|
| Product reference | The QMT style code and proposed colour direction |
| Size system | Your requested system and labels |
| Size curve | Pairs per size, with the total checked |
| Measurement reference | The agreed chart, measurement method and version |
| Sample comments | Reference, review notes and any requested adjustments |
4. Resolve questions before approval.
Use the agreed sample and measurement record to discuss fit questions. The catalogue does not provide a universal conversion chart or guaranteed size availability. Confirm the size range and specification for each proposed product.
Make it easy to review.
Attach a size-by-colour breakdown when you send your enquiry. You can also enter a requested size range alongside each selected style.
